In the books, the character of Cormoran Strike is frequently described as the "burly boxer" type, but since the very lean Tom Burke (who portrays him here) doesn't quite fit that bill, his wardrobe often sees him wear thick jumpers and an even thicker overcoat, in order to make his frame seem a bit heftier on screen.
