The extras at Club Hel were, for the most part, actual members of the local BDSM scene wearing their own gear. The costume department realised that this group understood the logistical challenges of wearing these outfits better than generic extras, and the production couldn't otherwise afford so many high quality BDSM outfits. Some accessories were provided by the costume department to help construct a coherent aesthetic.
