The friendship that develops between Spartacus and Crixus can best be described as "2 brothers who find ways to see eye to eye." The two men never become "buddy-buddy" as Spartacus was with Varro nor as Crixus was with Barca. Instead, the two hold each other's confidence, have each other's backs and share the same goals (for the most part.) This is best evidenced by the facts that neither of them ever laugh and joke with one another until they part ways.
