The post-credits scenes appear to be following the same path as Sonikku adobenchâ 2 (2001). In that game, much like the movie, 'Project Shadow' was uncovered. That experiment, which took place 50 years ago, revolved around Robotnik's grandfather attempting to save his granddaughter Maria. The end result was the creation of the 'Ultimate Life Form', Shadow the Hedgehog.
