This was the third time Nicole Kidman co-starred with an actor who had already played the role of Batman in a motion picture. The first was Michael Keaton in My Life - Questa mia vita (1993). The second was Val Kilmer in Batman Forever (1995) itself. She also started in the 1996 film Ritratto di signora (1996) alongside Christian Bale who would later on play Batman in the trilogy of films directed by Christopher Nolan, and in the 2015 film Queen of the Desert (2015) alongside Robert Pattinson who, as of December 2020, is set to be the new Batman in the 2021 film The Batman (2022)
