John Forsythe was almost 25 years older than Linda Evans, who played his wife, in the series. When she was Aaron Spelling's second choice to audition for Krystle, not only the show reunited with Forsythe, she also liked the script, thus gave her a lot of opportunity to do things together. Before this show, Evans admitted that she had a crush on him, in real-life, when she was a young adult.
