James D'Arcy plays Howard Stark's butler Edwin Jarvis who is the inspiration for Tony Stark's AI J.A.R.V.I.S. which was voiced by Paul Bettany in The Avengers (2012) and the Iron Man movies. D'Arcy and Bettany previously co-starred in the movie Master & Commander - Sfida ai confini del mare (2003).
