Theresa vanishing when she dives into the swimming pool hints at and implies that Theresa may have committed suicide by drowning herself. It's revealed earlier in the film that Theresa was married to Scott and divorced Scott him because she blames him for the death of their child, who drowned in their swimming pool whilst Scott was on the telephone. If Theresa didn't commit suicide, Theresa could most likely be overcoming her loss and letting go by swimming in the swimming pool for the first time since the death of her child. It depends on how the audience interprets the scene.
