The greenish 3 eyed skull in the pilot episode is actually Pandora's Box. Pandora, a member of the Trinity of Sin, opened it and unleashed the seven deadly sins upon the world. She was then sentenced by the Council of Eternity to walk the earth as witness to what she had done.
