Joss Whedon originally intended to add Captain Marvel at the ending of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), but couldn't find the right actress in a short time. He used a stunt double for that part, but later digitally added Elizabeth Olsen's face on her to turn her into Scarlet Witch. Future Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson was still an underdog during the time of the film's release.
