Hema Malini stated she was nervous thru out the making of the film. She would mess up her lines on purpose so they would get rid of her. The producer would always ask the director where he found such a non actress. But the next morning the director and Hema's mom would tell Hema that Raj Kapoor really liked her and thought she had potential to be a huge star.
