Was submitted for consideration for International Feature Film (formerly Foreign Language Film) for the 92nd Academy Awards, the first Japanese anime film to be submitted in this category since Principessa Mononoke (1997). The film ultimately didn't secure a nomination for the category, or a spot on the 10-film shortlist announced in December 2019.
