Beta, Charles Muntz's dog, is based on and modeled after Cousin Eddie's dog Snots in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989). Due to the fact they're both Rottweilers. The only difference is Snots can't talk and doesn't have a talking collar, and has a sinus condition, while Beta can talk due to his collar, and doesn't have a sinus condition.
