The clips from surrounding areas of the mall are actually around Desert Ridge Marketplace, a real mall in Phoenix, AZ. However, the parts where Noelle can be seen walking around the mall, were clearly not filmed at Desert Ridge Mall. Some of the stores shown, like Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and Taco Bell are not stores at the actual mall, but used in the film for product placement.
