It's stated in the "Goofs" section that both Descendants 1 & 2 take place in the summer, despite there being a 6-month time of passage. However, in the first movie, the Villain Kids are moving to Auradon Prep to attend school & are frequently shown in classes and attending school activities. The 2nd movie also shows them participating in school functions & roaming the school hallways with their backpacks & school backs, so I'm not sure where someone got the idea that both movies take place during the summer, when it's clear that it's during school times in both movies.
