There are 3 articles in the German language: der (masculine), die (feminine) and das (neuter). House is neuter, so "Der Waffel Haus" is actually wrong, it must be "Das Waffel Haus". Then again, there is noting specifically german about a waffle. Oldest sources point to France and Belgium as the origins of waffles. The wrong article might be chosen on purpose to point out the restaurants flawed theme.
