Officers Powell (Rob Morgan) and Callahan (John Reynolds) have a similar feel to the paranormal investigator's assistants (Marty and Ryan) in Poltergeist - Demoniache presenze (1982). Officer Callahan even wears the same style of glasses as Marty.
