Regarding the end of season six: Terry Farrell was the first regular Star Trek actor or actress not to return in any way after her character was killed off. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III (Connor Trinneer) from Enterprise (2001) would be the second (although his death occurred in the series' finale, leaving little opportunity to bring him back afterwards). Leonard Nimoy's Spock died in Star Trek II - L'ira di Khan (1982) but was resurrected in Star Trek III - Alla ricerca di Spock (1984); Denise Crosby's Tasha Yar died in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), but made several more appearances in the show in flashbacks and alternate universes, and as Tasha's adult daughter; James Kirk (Chris Pine) died in Into Darkness - Star Trek (2013), but was revived in the same movie; and during the run of Star Trek: Voyager (1995), all principle characters have died at least once in alternate timelines or freak experiments.
