Both of Tom Selleck's wives, then-wife Jacqueline Ray and future-wife Jillie Mack, appeared on this show. Selleck had been estranged from - and later divorced - Ray, then met Mack later on in the show's run. Selleck's father Bob Selleck, mother Martha Selleck, and his adoptive son Kevin Selleck, appeared briefly on this show. In later seasons, a photo of Selleck's parents could be seen on Magnum's bedside table.
