Kong's roar is made from mixes of lions, leopards, monkeys, gorillas, bears, boars, and even elephants. It is also amplified to sound louder and more aggressive. There are some instances in the film where Kong emits shrill, high-pitched sounds that are similar to those of his 1976 film counterpart. During his battle against Godzilla in Hong Kong, he also briefly made a roar similar to that of his Toho counterpart. When Kong lifted his axe to strike Godzilla on the head, he made a sound that was recycled from a video of an elephant roar, and the shrill gorilla roars were from a video of a gorilla charging at a glass window in a zoo. Additionally, before leaving Hollow Earth to fight Godzilla, Kong briefly produced a roar that was used for the werewolves in the MTV series Teen Wolf.
