When Tia Dalma tells the tale of how Davy Jones fell in love with a woman, Gibbs says that he heard a different version of the tale in which Jones fell in love with the sea. Tia Dalma then says that they are two versions of the same story, and both are true. Also, while Jack is shown shop-lifting from her hut, there's a music box amongst her trinkets that is matching the one Davy Jones has. In the next film, Pirati dei Caraibi - Ai confini del mondo (2007), it is revealed that Tia Dalma is actually the sea goddess Calypso, with whom Jones fell in love, and whom he had bound in human form.
