The film's premiere was scheduled for September 13, 2017 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles and all the tickets were sold out. Additionally, most of the cast of the two previous Jeepers Creepers films as well as the franchise director, Victor Salva, were going to attend the event which was going to have a screening of the original Jeepers Creepers - Il canto del diavolo (2001) film followed by the third installment. However, the event was canceled due to protests against Salva's criminal past.
