Rebecca's song "Invisible Ink" was written by Mandy Moore's husband, Taylor Goldsmith, much for her surprise. Series composer Siddhartha Khosla approached Goldsmith to write the song. Furthermore, the scene Rebecca reduces Jack to tears with her singing appears to reference one of her own: in "I'll Always Remember", the lyrics say "Was then that I realized / That forever was in your eyes / The moment I saw you cry".
