During Ernst Stavro Blofeld's torturing of James Bond, the lesioning of the fusiform gyrus could result in face blindness, but the electric drill that Blofeld used went nowhere near the gyrus; it drills through the jaw or jawbone and would've entered Bond's mouth, at best, doing nothing, and at worst, giving Bond wickedly bad sinusitis or meningitis.
