Nancy McKeon originally met with the ABC's The Facts of Life reunion's producers early on and offered to direct the movie. "I suggested that Jo be dead and that everybody come to her funeral and we do something like The Big Chill," she recalled. "THAT would have interested me." She had no takers. Eventually, McKeon did not appear in the reunion movie which aired on ABC in 2001; she cited scheduling conflicts with another big show she was appearing in at the time; the Division. But Jo's daughter, Jamie, another tomboy, did show up for the reunion.
