This is the first movie of the Star Wars main series that doesn't include the infamous Wilhelm scream, which was used since Guerre stellari (1977). This was confirmed by sound editor Matthew Wood. Despite this, Luke and Kylo's showdown contains a very similar noise when Kylo's lightsaber slices the air.
