CRASH (Community.Resources.Against.Street.Hoodlums.) is briefly mentioned in the beginning of the film. The police program was made in the year 1979 to prevent gang violence and drug trade. But instead escalated rapidly in the 1980s. The group was dissolved in the year 2000 around March.
