January 5, 2018, Season 6, Episode 2 ... The Amazing World Of Gumball on Cartoon Network ran an episode titled "The Lady" where Richard (the father) dresses up as a woman to hang out with a select group of friends and calls himself "Samantha" (Blanche) . The group of friends are the other three women of the Golden Girls "Angela" (Dorothy), "Violet" (Rose) and "Maria" (Sophia). Near the end when he feels like he cannot be part of the group anymore, he looks at them and says "thanks for being a friend".
