There were several people that were considered for the role of Al G. Rhythm. There was Jack Nicholson, who was too expensive , Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart & Keith David said no, Eddie Murphy wasn't available, & Michael B. Jordan was offered the part, but, asked for a cameo of himself instead.
