Discounting the Tremors television series, Edgar and Howard are the only characters in the entire Tremors film franchise to die from causes other than a graboid, shrieker or ass-blaster attack. Edgar dies of dehydration, and Howard dies as a result of a rockfall during his failed attempt to save his workmate Carmine from a graboid.
