This is at least the 12th time in the official James Bond franchise that Bond is seen in a game, sport, or activity with a villain. In this movie, Bond is seen with Mr. White, who is seated at table with a chess board and chess pieces. A game of chess is seen in A 007, dalla Russia con amore (1963), but Bond does not partake in the game there either. In Skyfall (2012), Bond was forced to partake in a shooting contest with Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem), using reproduction Percussion Cap Ardesa 1871 Duelling Pistols.
