One song of the film's soundtrack, "Dance or Die", was initially pitched in 1983 as the theme song for Ghostbusters (Acchiappafantasmi) (1984) by Glenn V. Hughes III, Pat Thrall and Peter Aykroyd. After the song was rejected, Aykroyd and Thrall later reworked the lyrics. The demo of the song remained unpublished until June 2021, when Thrall uploaded it on his personal Soundcloud.
