All five Autobots who appear in this film also appeared in The Transformers: The Movie. In this film, Jazz dies. In the animated film, Jazz and Bumblebee were the only survivors of those five. Jazz was retired anyway due to the real-life death of Scatman Crothers shortly after the film's release.
