Judy Hicks in the film suffers a reverse fate of former film survivor Cotton Weary in Scream 3 (2000), with her character with a Ghostface call being lured back to their home with their loved one being threatened by Ghostface while they are in the shower. Cotton however upon returning home had their loved one Christine be killed before them, and Judy is killed upon returning home before their loved one Wes is killed after.
