Johnny Olson's audience warm-up was crazy. He'd come out into the audience with lights flashing and the popular disco song "Disco Inferno" blaring from the studio speakers. He'd run around, sitting in women's laps, rubbing his butt against them, and making off-color jokes. The audience loved it, and it certainly set the party tone for the show that was about to ensue.
