Both Gary Cole (Fred Jones, Sr.) and Tim Matheson (Brad Chiles), Fred's two dads on the show, played the Vice President on West Wing - Tutti gli uomini del Presidente (1999). Tim Matheson played the first VP, John Hoynes, and Gary Cole played Hoynes' replacement Bob Russell.
