While "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter (2013)" used vintage lenses to create a period look, the TV series budget did not allow for such expenses. Therefore, director of photography Gabriel Beristain went back to a technique that was used in the forties: by putting vintage Christian Dior stockings over the lens.
