At least two actors who appeared in different episodes of Pippi calzelunghe (1969) play completely different (and opposite) roles in this film. Actor Jarl Borssén, who plays the evil pirate Blood-Svente in this film, had previously played a friendly hardware store owner in Pippi calzelunghe: Pippi hittar en spunk (1969). By the same token, child actor Staffan Hallerstam, who plays the kind servant boy Marko in this film, had previously played the not-so-kind bully Bengt ("Benke" in Sweden) in Pippi calzelunghe: Pippi är sakletare och går på kalas (1969).
