The second trailer shows Sonic running laps inside of a washing machine the same way a hamster would run inside of a hamster wheel. This doubles as a nod to an issue of Sonic the Comic, where Sonic runs on a generator wheel to test his speed and an accident with it ultimately gave him his famous blue fur.
