This was the first of a series of similar elevator shaft scenes in movies and tv. 1) Rosalind Shays (Diana Muldaur) on Avvocati a Los Angeles (1986); 2) Larry almost falls to his death on Season 4 of Good Times (1974); 3) Dr Kane (Meshach Taylor) gets bisected by rogue elevator cables falling down the elevator shaft in La maledizione di Damien (1978); 4) A crowd almost gets destroyed by a falling elevator in Scream (1996); 5) A group of people get trapped in a rogue elevator taken over by the devil in Devil (2010).
