This was the last film Chetan Anand directed for Producer Dev Anand"s Productions Navketan, he started his own Production Company Himalaya Productions and made films. After 20 years in 1976 the 25th Silver Jubilee Year Of Navketan, Chetan Anand made a film for Dev Anand"s productionand that was his last film for Navketan, the film was Janemaan, the remake of Chetan Anand"s directed Taxi Driver.
