In this series, the original Shredder is actually an evil entity that absorbs into Oroku Saki, the fifth and best of the original warriors. That means that the Utrom Shredder, the main antagonist of the series, actually took the name Shredder and Oroku Saki's legacy from the Tengu Shredder.
