Due to the several crossovers between them, the series is set in the same universe as JAG - Avvocati in divisa (1995), NCIS - Unità anticrimine (2003), NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), NCIS: New Orleans (2014), Scorpion (2014), MacGyver (2016), and Magnum P.I. (2018). The original "Magnum, P.I."; "JAG," and the original (and continuing) "NCIS" series (which in turn gave birth to spin-offs NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans) were created and produced by Donald P. Bellisario, which means that Bellisario is the "father" of five out of six of "the worlds" of this television universe (creator of original Magnum, show and characters from rebooted Magnum based on); all three NCIS' (creator of original NCIS, with the two NCIS spin-offs born out of original NCIS); and JAG, as either the creator or based on show/characters by); with only Hawaii Five-0 not a creation or second generation of a show created by Bellisario.
