Prem Nath needed to be drunk for a scene. Dev Anand did not want Prem Nath to actual consume alcohol because he knew Nath would become uncontrollable after getting drunk. Finally Dev gave in and got a bottle for Prem Nath. By the time the scene was ready to be shot Prem Nath had become severely drunk and loud. Getting agitated at Dev, at threw the empty bottle at the camera. Luckiky the cameraman moved the camera away in time and the bottle hit a wall. Had the camera been damaged, Dev would have to incur losses, cancel the shooting and take the unit back to Bombay . After this incident Dev Anand did not Prem Nath to ever work with Navketan again.
