Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons have all starred in films based on comic books, in particular Marvel and DC comics. Fassbender played Stelios in 300 (2006), Burke in Jonah Hex (2010), and the younger Magneto in the X-Men films. Cotillard played Miranda Tate in Il cavaliere oscuro - Il ritorno (2012). Irons played Alfred Pennyworth in the DC Extended Universe.
