(at around 29 mins) When Laurie and Dan have dinner at Rafael's restaurant, each table has a yellow rose on it. Yellow roses traditionally symbolize infidelity, foreshadowing Laurie and Dan sleeping with each other, an event Dr. Manhattan implied he had foreseen in the previous scene. Though, when Dan and Laurie finally do sleep with each other, Laurie had already broken up with Dr. Manhattan after growing tired of his emotional unavailability in their relationship.
