In Season 1, episode 8, Stranger Things: Chapter Eight: The Upside Down (2016), during a flashback when Hopper (David Harbour) is playing with his daughter in the park, her hair is tied with a blue braided hair band. In a later flashback scene Hopper is shown wearing the same band around his wrist as he is seen reading to her in her hospital bed. Hopper is also shown in a later scene calling his ex-wife while twisting the blue band around his finger. And at the end of Season 2 episode 9, Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Gate (2017)), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is shown wearing the blue band like a bracelet at the Snow Ball.
