The next major appearance of Rick Springfield in a Hollywood theatrical feature film would not be until he co-starred with Meryl Streep in 'Ricki and the Flash' (2015) almost thirty years later. The names ''Rick'' and ''Ricki'' are similar with Streep playing the Ricki title character in the later film.
