Andrew Scott's character Inspector Turpin eventually has a wooden hand and eyepatch resembling those of Kenneth Mars' character Inspector Kemp from Young Frankenstein (1974) which is fitting since both characters are set on foiling a Frankenstein's attempt at reanimation.
