The entire Millennium Falcon was built life size for the first and only time for this installment (only half of the spacecraft was constructed for Guerre stellari (1977), and just part of it was used for the deleted sandstorm scene in Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983)). It measured sixty-five feet (19.8 meters) in diameter and sixteen feet (4.8 meters) in height, with a mandible giving it an overall length of eighty feet (24.3 meters). The Falcon's weight was twenty-three tons (23 metric tons).
